May 11, 2020

Good Afternoon Patients & Family,

We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. We wanted to update you all on some of our new office policies during this pandemic.

First due to social distancing guidelines and minimizing exposure, we have decided to eliminate using our waiting room during this time. We ask families to please wait in their vehicles to ensure their safety and well-being. We will communicate with you via text upon arrival. If you have not heard from us, please call our office. Please inform the office of the best contact number for the date of visit if it is not the main contact number already on file. Please remember to never text and drive, we ask you safely text us back once you are parked in our lot.

Second we are continuing to ask that all patients over the age of 2 and family accompanying them where a face mask when entering the office. Please inform our office if you have any concerns.

Greensboro Pediatricians continues to adapt and take extra precautions in order to meet guidelines and keep our patients, their families, and our staff healthy.

As Always thank you for entrusting your child’s care to Greensboro Pediatricians.

Good Afternoon patients & family,

We hope all of you are staying healthy and safe during these unusual times. As many of you know things are always changing during this pandemic, and because of that we are constantly updating office policy to reduce exposure for our patients. With that in mind if you have come into the office in the past few weeks you have noticed our staff has been following CDC guidelines by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment such as masks, gowns and gloves based on the risk of exposure. Starting Wednesday April 29, 2020 we now ask that anyone over the age of 2 coming into the office wear a face mask/covering. Please click here to visit the CDC site for information and instructions on making your own. The city of Greensboro has also started a new project the COVID-19 Face Coverings Project offering free masks to residents, for more information and pick up locations click here

We also want to remind our patients that we are here to help you get thru this pandemic. We are still scheduling appointments with extra precautions in place and are here to answer your questions. Please call the office Monday-Friday 8:00a -4:15p (lunch break from 12:30-2) and Saturdays 8:00a-12:00p. If you have urgent medical questions outside of office hours and after hours service is always available.

April 20, 2020

At Greensboro Pediatricians, we are currently reserving morning hours for checkups, weight checks and immunizations to help protect our well and newest/youngest patients from potential exposure to illness. Well child care and immunizations are extremely important especially during this stressful time to keep children healthy and resistant to infectious disease. Sick patients will be seen during the afternoon hours or thru our new virtual appointments option. When coming to the office you will see all of our staff wearing masks, we are cleaning exam rooms between each patient and designating rooms for well child care only. We are taking extra precautions at the end of the day, we utilize uv light to further sanitize exam rooms. In addition we are frequently cleaning the waiting room, staggering patients so that families can easily maintain adequate social distance while waiting, and having patients running a fever remain in their vehicles until a rooms is available. Please let our staff know if you have any questions or concerns.

Greetings to our patients and families:

The providers and staff at Greensboro Pediatricians hope that everyone is staying well, washing their hands and social distancing as much as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please know that the safety of our patients and families is our utmost concern.

We understand that this may be a difficult time for your family, and we want to make sure that you can connect with your provider when needed without the inconvenience of leaving your home.

With this in mind, Greensboro Pediatricians is now offering telemedicine services (also known as telehealth or virtual visits) for a variety of acute issues for our patients ages 2 and over as well as some rechecks of chronic conditions. Several common pediatric illnesses can be diagnosed and treated effectively from the convenience and safety of your home through the use of audio and video visits with our providers.

 Examples may include:

  • cough and cold symptoms
  • pink eye
  • vomiting and diarrhea
  • rashes
  • seasonal allergies
  • mild sprains/strains

Please call our office at 336-299-3183 for information to determine whether your concern is appropriate for a telemedicine visit.

In these unprecedented times, several insurance carriers are covering telemedicine services as a part of your current health plan. In order to better serve you and your family, please contact your insurance carrier to determine your coverage for telemedicine visits as copays and deductibles may apply.

We also want to remind everyone of our online features, such as making payments on our website or using your patient portal to request refills, appointments, or even message your pediatrician. These features will help give some relief to our busy phone lines & allow you to accomplish things on your own time.

We at Greensboro Pediatricians continue to strive for excellence in providing quality care to our patients. Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s care.

Dear Greensboro Pediatricians Families,

We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for patients, families, and staff. As concern and understanding about the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) grows, we want to assure you we are taking action to implement any new guideline issues by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health department. In light of the potential risks associated with COVID-19 we have adopted the following protocols for the immediate future.

Well Visits:
We will see well visits in the morning hours before sick visits. We are prioritizing those aged 15 months and younger, in order for them not to fall behind on necessary vaccinations. If your child is ill at the time of their well check, you may be asked to reschedule to a different time.

Sick Visits:
All providers will see sick visits in the afternoon. If a sick visit is deemed necessary in the morning our on-call physician will see them in restricted rooms of our building. Please make sure to let us know when booking or call ahead if your child has a fever. All patients presenting with a fever are to be roomed immediately, if there are no rooms available you may be asked to wait in your car to minimize exposure to others. We strongly discourage unplanned walk-in visits during this time.

All Visits:
For all visits we encourage families to restrict appointments to only the patient and one primary caregiver. Caregivers over the age of 60 and/ or with existing lung disease, heart disease or diabetes please avoid our office unless there is no alternative.

Please be aware that staff may be in gowns, gloves, face mask, and eye protection. We do not want to transfer any germs to you and we also want our staff to stay healthy so we can continue to serve you.

Thank you for entrusting your child’s care to Greensboro Pediatricians
