Dear Greensboro Pediatricians Families,
We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for patients, families, and staff. As concern and understanding about the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) grows, we want to assure you we are taking action to implement any new guideline issues by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health department. In light of the potential risks associated with COVID-19 we have adopted the following protocols for the immediate future.
Well Visits:
We will see well visits in the morning hours before sick visits. We are prioritizing those aged 15 months and younger, in order for them not to fall behind on necessary vaccinations. If your child is ill at the time of their well check, you may be asked to reschedule to a different time.
Sick Visits:
All providers will see sick visits in the afternoon. If a sick visit is deemed necessary in the morning our on-call physician will see them in restricted rooms of our building. Please make sure to let us know when booking or call ahead if your child has a fever. All patients presenting with a fever are to be roomed immediately, if there are no rooms available you may be asked to wait in your car to minimize exposure to others. We strongly discourage unplanned walk-in visits during this time.
All Visits:
For all visits we encourage families to restrict appointments to only the patient and one primary caregiver. Caregivers over the age of 60 and/ or with existing lung disease, heart disease or diabetes please avoid our office unless there is no alternative.
Please be aware that staff may be in gowns, gloves, face mask, and eye protection. We do not want to transfer any germs to you and we also want our staff to stay healthy so we can continue to serve you.
Thank you for entrusting your child’s care to Greensboro Pediatricians
